B Black Sea ClimAccelerator is an acceleration program for eco-innovative solutions and green startups that contribute to environmental sustainability and reduce the effects of climate change. Aimed at a new generation of start-ups and entrepreneurs who respond to environmental challenges with innovative, creative and technological solutions, the program contributes to the creation of sustainable ecosystems and systemic changes in the medium and long term. Climaccelerator is in its first edition and is developed by a consortium consisting of Impact Hub Bucharest and The Climate Vertical in Romania and Innovation Starter in Bulgaria with the support of EIT Climate KIC.

Startups that are in a later stage of development and that have scalable solutions that solve climate and environmental problems can enter the program in category 3. Following evaluation, 6 Romanian startups will benefit from support activities tailored to their specific needs and investment readiness.

6 selected startups will benefit from support activities to take their solution to the next level.

- Grants worth 20,000 euros for each startup in this stage
3rd Category - Growth

Startups that are in a later stage of development and have scalable solutions that solve climate and environmental problems can enter the program in category 3. Following the evaluation, 6 Romanian startups will benefit from support activities tailored to their specific needs and preparation for investment.

The EIT Climate-KIC is a Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) that works to accelerate the transition to a zero-carbon and climate-resilient society. For the last 10 years, the EIT Climate-KIC accelerator program has been the main solution provider of climate innovation, with over 1,500 accepted solutions and almost 1 billion euros of guaranteed capital.
Impact Hub Bucharest
Impact Hub Bucharest is the dynamic space where professionals and entrepreneurs work for the development of projects and business initiatives. Since 2012, Impact Hub Bucharest is the first coworking space in Romania, with a community of approximately 2,000 members in 2 central locations in Bucharest. Globally, the organization is present in over 100 locations in over 50 countries. The mission of Impact Hub Bucharest is to support the entrepreneurial ecosystem by offering programs to accelerate startups and direct funding, as well as the largest online entrepreneurship education platform.
The climate Vertical
The Climate Vertical is a Romanian initiative that aims to address critical climate challenges by activating and involving the community to support startups to build sustainable solutions. We believe that every climate challenge creates the space for a very good business opportunity. We build TCV based on our experience of over 4 years working with startups and deliver programs designed to (A) bring people together to support each other, (B) inspire them to start, (C) educate them to build solutions that people really need, (D) accelerate the growth of teams willing to scale their solutions globally. Innovation Starter
Innovation Starter is the first innovation agency in Bulgaria, founded by Leona Aslanova in 2014. It collaborates with the business environment (companies and startups), the public sector, academic institutions and the non-governmental sector to design a culture of innovation on a long term. The mission of Innovation Starter is for Bulgaria to become a leading European country in the field of innovation.
